Island Tour in Siquijor with the Muncada Family

I still remember the first time I went to my grandparents hometown in the island of Siquijor. It was May 2016, I was eight years old when my mom decided to have a vacation there. It was my first time boarding a ship too, we travelled from Samar to Cebu, then finally a fast craft to travel from Cebu to Siquijor. I remember when my mom said there was a whale shark following the fast craft and during the ride, and I was able to see it. We also passed the famous Chocolate Hills of Bohol, and it kind of really looks like a chocolate to me as a kid.

When we finally arrived at the port of Larena, we were immediately greeted by my uncle who was waiting for us.

This is the photo of Larena Port.

Fast forward. After a few days of staying in the island, my auntie whose sister of my mom showed us around the island together with the whole family of Muncada and Lagudas. First on the list was to visit churches around the island. We went to Lazi Church, San Juan, Enrique Villanueva and Maria.

We also visited the Tubod Beach where we had our little family picnic.

And visited Balete Fish Spa, when we got there I noticed there were monkeys around the area too.

And the most fun was when we visited my aunt's farm to harvest this fruit called sarguelas, it's sweet and just like mango, you can put salt on it.

The two days before we went back to Samar, we had a little camping in the backyard of my grandparents house with my cousin, ate Zyra. We had a little tent and dipped in the inflatable pool since it was a hot summer day.

And finally, this was then the last photo taken before we leave the Island of Siquijor to go back to Samar. Me, my younger sibling, and our cousin.
